# What is realDAO?

realDAO is fractional real estate. realDAO allows investors to indirectly own fractions of real estate without mortgages, real estate fees, closings, long-wait periods, or all the hassles of being a landlord. realDAO buys, remodels and rents properties. Each realDAO property is owned by a separate corporation. Investors acquire realDAO’s representing shares starting at $100 per share. These shares have liquidity and can be bought and sold in the realDAO marketplace.
